In the summer before my senior year of high school, I was contacted by a number of colleges and universities when my SAT scores came back. One of the colleges was a small Midwestern engineering school located in Terre Haute , Indiana . In August of 1970 I was invited to visit their campus with my father. On the way back from that visit we stopped at a Burger Chef in Brazil , Indiana , which is where I saw my first second generation Trans Am.
